About Tareq Falah

An experienced and dedicated leader and community servant, focused on finding solutions which promote progress.

Tareq grew up in Ogden Utah to a mother and father who instilled the critical value of education from an early age.  Whether it was the opportunity to take build his own computers from spare parts or create memorable journeys visiting the library every weekend, the notion that through education, anything was possible, rang loudly throughout his early years.

The son of an immigrant father, Tareq learned that only with dedication, perseverance and a commitment to serving his community that reaching the American Dream could be possible.  The blending of his diverse background and the deep-rooted traditions of this country helped mold him into the leader he has become today.

Tareq worked diligently in pursuit of his academic career.  Throughout his journey, it was critical to not only have a wide breadth of subjects, but to also have a deep knowledge.  While enriching his educational pursuits with extra-curricular activities such as basketball, track, debate and internships, he was awarded a Presidential Scholarship and attended Weber State University.

While at Weber State, he received numerous awards such as the College of Science Highest Honors and the Excellence in Engineering award.  Graduating Summa Cum Laude, Tareq quickly pursued an MBA from Western Governor’s University focusing on IT Management.

Much of Tareq’s early career was deeply rooted within education.  While in Utah, Tareq held numerous roles within Weber School District, the 5th largest school district in Utah.  While there, Tareq led critical projects such as a multi-million dollar upgrade to the financial and student systems, digital transformation for online benefit enrollments, transparent reporting solutions for bond initiatives and student testing performance.

It was through these years that Tareq developed a love for giving back to the community, specifically within the realm of education.  The impact of his technology initiatives changed the lives of thousands of children and drastically improved the capabilities of the school district, shaping its future for years to come.

In recent years, Tareq has held numerous positions at Fortune 200 companies and privately held organizations as a technology leader.  His efforts to utilize technology to transform organizations and improve their long-term outlooks have propelled him into his current role as Chief Information Officer at Painters Supply & Equipment Co.
